I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Fun environment
    Friendly coworkers
    Competitive salary
    Fast paced

    Cons

    Customers are awful
    Management doesn't care
    Sexist work environment
Too many supervisors giving conflicting instructions
Non commission sales job that treats their employees like commission sales people
    No room for growth

    Advice to Management

Everyone needs to get on the same page and needs to see their employees as people not as numbers. Female employees were treated much differently and expected to have different jobs and different responsibilities than the male employees which belittled the female sales associates. The management also likes to tell their employees that they can grow in this field but in reality they stick you in your place and tell you to be the best you can in that position to earn a promotion or movement in the company and once you are the best in your department you are either comsideeed too valuable to move, or are laughed out of the managers office for applying for the promotions that they decide you aren't ready for, even after meeting their expectations or even being asked to carry out the jobs of that promotion without the pay increase.

  3. "Non Commission sales"

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not physically demanding or terribly stressful. You learn a lot. Good discount and vendor accommodations. Some good benefits for full time employees

    Cons

Most of the time to move up you'll need to change locations. Non Commission based so hard to always stay motivated

    Advice to Management

    Better incentives
