I worked at Best Buy part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working at Best Buy was a great experience overall. They work in teams and are very goal-oriented. They always strive to make you work more efficiently. I gained more know-how in customer service, which they definitely prioritize.

    Cons

There was maybe too much emphasis and pressure on selling products.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The job itself is relax and fun, you get to improve your sales skills. People are great, managers as welle as associates.

    Cons

Sometimes you have pressure to sell more, even though it might not be directly your fault if your results are lower. For example, if you work part-time and on one of your working days the store is empty, your results are going to be impacted even though you put as much effort as usual.

    I worked at Best Buy

    Pros

Good place to build experience and generally a strong team dynamic all around. Lots of job opportunities and work variety

    Cons

No commission but management still pushes service sales overly aggressively Management is very single minded in selling warranties, overlooks customer service and customer retention to push sales. Sales employees are solely valued on their sales numbers even when many blatantly lie and don't know their products or how their services work. Many employees have very little knowledge of their products. Management is...

    I worked at Best Buy

    Pros

Good pay Good possibilities for advancement Employee discount

    Cons

Horrible management Poorly held company values and culture by management( comming from someone who worked at 3 different future shops). Constantly had cases of employees being arrested at work for suspicion of fraud. It was a very policing athomosphere with managers who enjoyed a power trip rather than motivating their employes.

    Advice to Management

They should have been much more professional. Management was run by a bunch of unqualified people.
