I have been working at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is about the people you work for and the people you work with. I worked at Best Buy as a seasonal worker for about 2 months while I was on break from school, and it was amazing how positive the people who worked were. The customers are the job, and it was our responsibility to respond and act accordingly as quickly and effectively to find a solution to their problems or issue.

    Cons

Can get tedious, and repetitive quickly. The work is simple, so do not expect a very challenging job. The small details and finding items from the back can sometime be a pain in the neck.

    Advice to Management

Be good to your people and they will want to work for you with all they've got.

GM's care more about them selves, poor leading, all they push for is sales and thats what hours are based on

    Pros

Managers encourage us to be the best we can be in out department and other departments we're interested in, good for high schoolers as a first job

Not always given consistent hours or schedules, low pay so hard to make a living, if you have limited availability it's not the job for you

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Paid more than minimum wage. Experience with technology. Really good employee discounts! Able to speak with employees for the most part.

    Cons

Terrible management. Long hours. Don't bother having specific schedule, because they won't listen. Unable to sit during a long shift. Rude and disrespectful customers. Employees aren't properly trained. Employees have mostly no knowledge of the department they work in unless they've worked there for multiple years. High turn-over rate. Unfair. Manipulative. Management is willing to lie to make you think you're doing a great job. Plays favorites.
