    Cons

Working on Thanksgiving! This should be outlawed, this is a day for us to be thankful and spend quality time with our families! If it wasn't for there support retail is not a Monday- Friday gig... and you do not get to go to all those family gatherings most likely on the weekends your always working!

    Advice to Management

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Awesome discounts. Competitive environment. Depending on what store you work at will sway your view of the company. There are also different levels of employment. Whether you are in the corporate office, district offices or store level employee all plays a part in experience with the company. . I worked the district office as well as the stores

    Cons

Work \ home balance is non existing. You are often expected to work on your day off if situation calls for it. Very political when it comes to promoting crom within. It very much about how much "butt" you can kiss to get to the top.

    Advice to Management

Start caring more about your staff then your numbers

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Get to be around latest technology.

    Cons

Little recognition or room for promotion.
    No commissions on sales.
Yearly hourly pay increase is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Need a commission based pay system so employees will be motivated and sell more. Would help the employee turnaround rate as well.
