I have been working at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Everyone is friendly and will help you with any questions you have.
-Checkout is kept considerably tidy with how many people are back there everyday.
-Employee discounts on open boxes and snacks that you may want for lunch are awesome!
-If you’re a good employee managers WILL take note of it, I’ve been approached by 2 managers for a position after seasonal. You can move up really fast if you are a fast learner and are dedicated to being a good employee.

    Cons

-Since I started the week before Thanksgiving I wasn’t taught all the ropes so I’m still catching up because of it.
-As a seasonal you won’t be able to call out so I’ve been sick twice since I got here and had to push through my shifts.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you guys are doing, every manager in the store makes me feel welcomed and appreciated.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is plenty of room for growth and the firm is great on employee development.

    Cons

The health benefits could get better, and sometimes it's a bit overwhelming with so many KPIs

    Advice to Management

Streamline the KPI, there are too many categories which causes the employee s to feel overwhelmed and wanting to leave.

They shove RPH down your throat if there are dead days then you technically suck to best buy. They expect you to make revenue on a dead day

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good job for techies who like talking tech and helping people get access to the latest and greatest.

    Cons

Too much focus on the Best Buy Credit Card and over pressuring to sell and hit sales goals even though there is no commission or incentive to do so. Essentially being harassed into making sales.

    Advice to Management

Either implement commission or just focus on giving good customer service not selling products and services that customers don't need.

I worked at Best Buy (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers and staff members that create a good vibe in the store.

    Cons

Boss and Management are dictators that will take advantage of unassuming workers. Assuming you need the money this job is pretty laborious at times.

    Advice to Management

If you fire multiple veteran workers while you are understaffed right before black Friday, you should have a backup plan.
