    Great hours for merchandisers. On your own all day working on projects. Paid very well. Great Managers.

    Throttle hours and go by buddy system.

    Fire half the uneducated managers, hire from within those that hold high values for quality of work and helping people while making profit.

    Pros

    Flexible working hours. Depending on the store it is not a labor intensive job.
    There is training class to teach you how to sell better

    Cons

    May need to chase revenue goal. Every morning your revenue status is on the board. Need to sell more in order to reach revue goal.

    Advice to Management

    Conduct more one on one session, and set up more realistic goal. If the goal is too far it becomes hard to reach and decrease the motivation.

    Pros

    Great benefits, employee discount was optimal, great opportunity to engage with people daily and make goal oriented team progress.

    Cons

    Competitive environment for a non-commissioned sales staff, morale can easily be swayed by bonus/reward opportunities as opposed to customer success. Holiday hours obviously were a pain.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in training and product knowledge, as well as engaging employees to be active listeners with their customers.
