    Pros

Fun environment, fast pace, new technology, and people. Growth to leadership.

    Cons

Micro-managing by everyone and everything you sell. You have to be in the “boys” club to be promoted.

    Advice to Management

Dont over look great talent, this how a company struggles with talent. A loss to you is a gain to someone else.

Hitting targets maybe difficult. Customers may sometimes be difficult to deal with. Traffic may be slow at times. Management can be annoying at times

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    monthly bonus
    vacation hours
    vision benefit

    Cons

    management
    favoritism
    development and growth

    Advice to Management

treat employees equally! hard work should be rewarded one should not be promoted because a manager LIKES you all factors should go into promotions i.e performance, peers buy in, customer service, all around team player. Cut the favoritism out.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All managers were approachable, friendly, and seemed to care about employees. The work environment was generally friendly, and bonds were created quickly.

    Cons

Heavy reliance on e-learning meant those who required hands on experience fell behind. Sometimes understaffed and apathy from some employees meant others had to pick up their slack.

    Advice to Management

Be closer to your employees, but don't hover over them, especially new and inexperienced employees.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, you get to learn how to problem solve, mangment has a trust but verify menatlity towards tasks. My co worker are the only reasons I come to work. Great for college students. But don't stay long.

    Cons

Everything else. There no real growth unless you would like to work for corporate. The job stagnation. Task are very repetitive. Discounts are negligible. If you buy online you'll tend to find prices that resemble your discount, AliExpress, amazon, bj, eBay to name a few.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job training your employees. eLearning are nice but our job is completely HANDS ON!!!

    Pros

They gave me flexible hours, and are a good work environment for minors. Discount is very good.

    Cons

Management can be at times very pushy about goals that are hard to reach in stores where only tourists go.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

My immediate team was great. Formed a great bond and took care of each other which in retail is important.

    Cons

Heavy emphasis on pushing results definitely not enough emphasis on supporting employees. Promotions were heavily based on favoritism, so was your wage. Not enough structured training was provided.

    Pros

Other than meeting cool people and discount there is really no pros

    Cons

Horrible management in Union Square location, it’s sales driven and the managers have only favorites. If you’re not a favorite than you’re out of luck

    Advice to Management

Change the whole management system and respect employees.
