    It was an okay job but they barely giving hours away because this business is struggling this is not an IT position it is a sales driven position

    Cool tech, always great colleagues in the crowd, really nice employee discount

    Cons

    50+ hours mandatory for salaried position, expect to work nearly every weekend and holiday, very few managers in the store

    Advice to Management

    Develop a better work/life balance for managers

    GM advancement is tough, work life balance is non-existent.

    Pros

    I work at the greater northeast Best Buy, Great People to work with, Nice management... All in all Great Atmosphere.

    Cons

    Pay is not great especially for the work, and the responsibility we go threw at least in my department.

    Advice to Management

    Stop Rolling in a Click, Makes best buy look bad, Alot of favorites.

    I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Can move around
    -Employees do hang outside of work
    -Pay is well
    -Offers tuition assistant but only if full time and with the long hours its hard to find classes to register
    -It's Business not Personal remember that and you'll do well

    Cons

    -Pay not negotiable
    -Very caddy
    -Dog eat dog environment
    -Management could use training on professionalism especially when in conversation with their team

    Advice to Management

    Appreciate employees because they work hard doing more than their job description and often multiple positions at once. Still management offers no recognition. Management only cares about their bonus from credit card applications.

    Pros

    Pays $11 an hr
    Management is nice
    Really I have no other pros than that

    Cons

    No hours after holidays like you will be lucky to work one day a week

    Advice to Management

    Don't lie to employees about hours was promised at least 20hrs a week and almost 40 hrs during the holidays. Highest amount of hour I got was 28hrs a week and my average is less than 10hrs a week

    If you ever need accessories for an item, the discount is great.

    Cons

    At my store, several members of management don't have any form of higher education or are even attempting a college degree.

    Advice to Management

    Management positions should be based on experience and education, not friendship.
