    Pros

    Discounts, benefits, co workers, pay

    Cons

    Sales goals, poor management, favoritism

    Advice to Management

There needs to be some kind of training for some leaders that don’t know how to talk to their team. You want good leadership but you pick the ones that hardly show what a TRUE leader is. I loved working there, I know it’s easy to get complacent with the job but if the moral is down due to poor management—how is it the associates fault when the leader doesn’t care? I’m happy I don’t work there anymore, it wasn’t worth the stress of the sales goals and the ridiculous favoritism I’ve experienced. Good riddance !

I worked at Best Buy as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you need hours for a job, they'll definitely give you some, for the holidays at least.

    Cons

I never got any additional hours for my shift. Even though I applied for part time employment, they treated me as a holiday employee. I even tried to ask the person in charge of the department I worked for who to talk to and the people kept bouncing me around, never finding the roots of my problem. I'm guessing the holiday burnout was getting to them because they seemed to not want to help me.

    Advice to Management

If you're going to post a part time employment position on your website during the holidays, make sure you know the difference between part time and holiday. I don't know if your application website was updated but when I was on there, it said that a part time employment position was still available. Even the manager was confused when I applied after the interview. He asked me if I was applying for holiday. I told him that I was applying for part time, yet I was being treated as a holiday employee.
