    Keep up the good work, managers are very friendly and work accordingly with employees. The managers at my Best Buy are probably the best I've ever seen in a company

    The worst thing I can state about Best Buy, is not about the company, but as in Retail the hours are not always ideal. Best Buy works on work/life balance and optimizes your schedule well

    Co workers are great

    Relaxed atmosphere when GM is on one of many vacations.

    Decent benefits, such as 401k health and dental insurance.and paid time off.

    Cons

    Treated like a commissioned employee, when they're is no incentive to meet goals.

    They hire young so that most of employees are scared to speak up.

    Never enough employees in store.

    Prices are way to high

    Only way to get promotion is when someone quits

    Extremely high turnover rate

    They deny people from changing departments and promotions.

    Advice to Management

    If you are going to treat us like commission employes them pay us as such

    Networking will impact your experience. The type of person you are will greatly determine if you stay a regular Full-Time sales floor associate, or get the opportunity to move into a Supervisor role and above.

    Advice to Management

    Every store is different. Locations are their own functional ecosystems, and if there's one thing that each individual store does well, it's learning from the end-of-year surveys that the employees do anonymously, and working towards impacting culture more positively. Every location will do this to varying degrees, but regardless, people in manager roles are always unique in how they approach managing people, the business in general, or if they follow the standard operating procedures more strictly than others. Looking out to stores that have a low turnover, and having good relationships with leaders outside of the store location you work for can make a positive impact in how you develop store culture to be a driving force rather than a hindrance.

    slow days depending on location, holidays, not guaranteed 40 hours a week

    Fast paced, and always changing. New products and services keep things interesting!

    Holidays in Retail aren't the best but it is a part of it and should be considered before applying.

    Keep helping employees grow, don't let them get stuck once they pass a certain point.

    Pros

    Great environment to work in if you show up to work willing to work with a positive attitude. Ability to move up if you show professionalism and hard work.

    Cons

    Commission like work on an hourly pay. Monthly reviews seem to always lash rather than praise, even if you're a high performer in the company.

    Advice to Management

    Rather than looking just at if an associate is hitting their hourly goal, check the quality of sales that the associate is producing such as protection, accessories, and services.
