I have been working at Best Buy for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent corporate culture and work/life balance. Large corporate campus with all the amenities. Convenient location that is close to everything.

    Cons

Politics and red tape galore. Exec leadership runs the show, so don't expect that your input will be taken seriously. If you want to have influence on your own product, this is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees and trust them to make critical decisions. That's what you pay them for after all. (Less micromanagement)

    Pros

The people really make the work place. I stayed for as long as the people were a great fit with the company.

    Cons

When managers started to hire very bad managers, turn over was high. Worked for a very low hourly wage, but the work was fairly easy also.

    Advice to Management

Get better input from other managers on who is going to get hired, before they get hired and thrown to the wolves.
