    Pros

Fun people, Perks, discounts, holiday hours and accommodations

    Cons

You will not be given a full time position if you're in college, You have to go through hell to get a raise. They also never schedule enough people for a truck so good luck getting out on time those days.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The training for sales people is rigorous but even though I don't approve of its overly assertive ways to get into a customer's wallet, it's thorough. The discount is also one of the only reasons I kept working there. Flexibility with schedules, depending on the manager, is also a plus.

    Cons

Few of the employees have respect for one another or their jobs. Many of them half-assed their work. This isn't an economy where you can be lazy, you have to compete with everyone else to keep your position and do a good job, but many people slacked off constantly. There shouldn't be fear in the workplace (don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this location was scary), but there should a universal goal to succeed—no one felt like their job was on the line and as a result, they weren't willing to work for it.

Departments large and small were messy, unkept and none of the teams made it a point to make their departments look better, well-stocked and clean. Plain and simple, they don't care and that's an environment I no longer wanted to work in.

    Advice to Management

I've seen countless managers standing around and not actively working. Cut it out, and instead set a good example for employees.
