I have been working at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent employee discount. That's about it. Everything else about this company sucks. Literally everything else. Do not work here. Period.

    Cons

Absolutely everything. The software this company uses is outdated, slow, and inefficient, nobody, especially management has any idea what they're doing, the company will go so far out of their way to screw over their employees it is astonishing.

    Advice to Management

Get your heads out of your you-know-whats.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They pay pretty decent for not commission based

    Cons

I have worked at 3 different stores and the management was terrible. I was the top performer at every store but they would not let me excel to the sales floor, which i knew I would be perfect for. They let other people switch departments easily, but did not let me move at all because of business reasons, i guess they needed my good performance to stay at cashier/front lanes which gets super boring after 3 years.

    Advice to Management

If you see a good performer in one department, give them the fair opportunity to move up with the company.
