I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work culture, effective coaching, very clearly set goals, lots of opportunity for advancement in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area near the corporate offices, awesome discount, job can be a lot of fun!

    Cons

Sometimes sales numbers can be hard to attain, some of the virtual learning courses are a little tedious.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the awesome work,

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Basic level of exposure to IT and the brand itself might be more valuable than the experience, although the experience can be used appropriately to move on without an issue.

    Cons

Profit-first company, with zero regrets about cutting everything personal out of the equation in the name of sales.

    Advice to Management

Maybe give the employees a little more credit and help them grow professionally outside the scope of the job, which is really transitional/college level.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

customer interaction was great. Immediate manager was awesome.

    Cons

Leadership changes causes too much of a turnover in employees. Management takes everything personal and had no professionalism.

    Advice to Management

GM should follow the SOP and work with current managers rather than firing the current managers to hire new managers. Disrupts the store flow.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I do not have any pros to say about this company besides coworkers in the department I worked at

    Cons

    almost no tech training provided
poor health plan comparing to what is considered great health plan
a lot of managers you have to deal with
sometimes can be very very stressful
    in my opinion underpaid
If you work overtime, management start complaining about it
too much headache for what they are paying

    Advice to Management

Provide more training to each field you have ties with

I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I thought it was a good job but the problem with it was that there wasn't enough training on the matter. It was fun to work with customers and such and the pay wasn't too bad. It's a good starter job that offers you benefits of working with tech and studying how it works. The hours were not bad and such.

    Cons

Never really liked the fact that we had to maintain a high quota but it was understandable as a store must profit.
