I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work culture, effective coaching, very clearly set goals, lots of opportunity for advancement in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area near the corporate offices, awesome discount, job can be a lot of fun!

    Cons

Sometimes sales numbers can be hard to attain, some of the virtual learning courses are a little tedious.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the awesome work,

too much headache for what they are paying

I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I thought it was a good job but the problem with it was that there wasn't enough training on the matter. It was fun to work with customers and such and the pay wasn't too bad. It's a good starter job that offers you benefits of working with tech and studying how it works. The hours were not bad and such.

    Cons

Never really liked the fact that we had to maintain a high quota but it was understandable as a store must profit.

I worked at Best Buy (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Loved the discount and the people you would meet. Being able to work in different departments. Again, the discount.

    Cons

No room for advancement unless you are in the clique, or a butt kisser. Lack of information from upper management on to where the company is going.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time

    Pros

Easy to learn, good trainning, and great benefits. Great for entry level positions and easy for experience. Has possibilities to grow within company.

    Cons

High Stress, low pay for work, retail hours. Strict company policies, dependent on sales for growth, able to get overwhelmed on some days.

    Advice to Management

The managements varies by location so far most of the management Ive worked has been friendly and kept the Best Buy feel during most interactions.
