I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits were pretty in line.

    Cons

Constant surveilance by Managment, Breaks and hours scrutinized, 1/2 hour lunch was scheduled too late in the day. Stuck on Campus everyday as the vehicles were parked too far for lunch errands. Reviews every other week. Other employees on same level as you were allowed to reprimand / lecture you. Cronyism. Misogyny.

    Advice to Management

How do you adress a multitude of Big Brother behaviors? Just stop it!

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Better pay than sales floor
    Good discounts on select brands
    Chance to get monthly bonus

    Cons

Store expects way too much out of you. I have worked the sales floor and geek squad. Sales floor get catered to and help whenever needed. Geek Squad just gets tasks that need to be completed with no direction or support. Do something good and you won’t get recognized. Do something incorrectly and never hear the end of it.

    Advice to Management

Geek Squad is as important to Best Buy as the sales floor. Act like it!
