    Pros

It is a fun atmosphere with encouragement to reach whatever your career goals may be. The benefits are extremely good and pay is much better than most retail jobs.

There can be inadequate coverage at times though it may be hard to predict how busy the day will be.

    Advice to Management

Continue offering the good benefits and chance to progress both within the company and community

The discount is the only pro unless you in a supervisor/management

I worked at Best Buy (Less than a year)

    Pros

The People in the warehouse were great people to work with and the environment felt like a family discount was very good and some people in management were good at what they do.

    Cons

Sales people and management treated the warehouse like peasants. The pay was not worth all the work and knowledge we knew in the warehouse house. no one was treated like equals

    Advice to Management

Work a day in the warehouse during the holidays and see how it is because you don't care about the hard work they do

    Pros

They are flexible with hours and should you get full time they do offer some ok benefits as well as a discount on select products for all employees

    Cons

Late night shifts for sales support. Not a very team oriented environment. And schedules change frequently

    Advice to Management

Listen to your associates more and stop changing the SOP all the time. Trust in decisions you make and stop second guessing plans you already have in place

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The discount and the people probably. Most employees are good people and are easy to get along with.

    Cons

Revolving door at my store with management. Poor management to go along with it, and promotions from within were rare. Even against loyal employees.

    Advice to Management

Keep managers longer than months. Give them a better chance, and don't make their job harder than it is. Promote within, trust the employees you have.
