    Flexibility in hours, works around college (mostly)

    Cons

    Not enough recognition, management plays favorites, zero growth for what you want to actually do with a career, very high turnover, low morale across the spectrum

    Listen to your employees and what they want and need out of a job

    Discount, would not work there if there wasn't a discount

    micro/ terrible management. Terrible pay, are not allowed to associate with fellow employees without getting in trouble. everyone walks on eggshells. Terrible company to work for

    Advice to Management

    treat your employees better and maybe the turnover rate will lower

    I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great discounts on some items.

    Cons

    A ridiculous amount of micromanaging from the general manager and direct supervisor over Geek Squad Protection. Tracker sheets and role playing were both humiliating and out of control.

    GM way too focused on the store profit and would throw any employee under the bus if it meant better numbers.

    Multiple smoke breaks for management and close friends of management. Could barely get a fifteen minute break most days.

    Continuously being told by salespeople to put their numbers on sales instead of ringing it out themselves. Then they wouldn't assist with a code one.

    Blatant instance of management picking favorites.

    Being harassed by GM to attend pointless employee events.

    Was also harassed many times by GM to apply for a credit card.

    Minimal pay increase for a raise and uncooperative management in that regard.

    Unqualified employees chosen for supervisor roles.

    Will beg employees to stay so it doesn't mess up their turnover rate.

    The entire experience feels incredibly dated in the modern age of Amazon.

    Advice to Management

    Close on Thanksgiving so employees can be with their families. Relax on the aggressive sales tactics and warranties. Join the rest of us in 2017.

    Good Benefits package. Advancement Opportunities.

    Cons

    Unfair management. Horrendous staff turnover. Unfair Salary, new people being offered higher salaries then existing workers. Management Favoritism.

    Work with your team, not against them.

    Pros

    The discount, thats basically it. There's a few nice people but not really, it's kept pretty clean overall but still terrible.

    Cons

    Unprofessional, misogynistic, disorganized, just over all terrible, took 3 weeks to get me started, lost my phone number, told me not to worry about the drug test because they never sent me the information to take it, never had me fill out an I-9, didn't get me a password to check my schedule but my manager texted me to ask if I knew I worked a certain day. Just a complete crap show.

    Advice to Management

    Fire everyone and start over
