    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Best Buy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The work culture is great, especially if you’re in college and interested in anything tech. The management is usually extremely helpful and like able. There are good policies in place to protect the employees.

    Cons

This type of business tends to attract customers that have no idea what they’re doing and are convinced they do. Most of the staff has extensive training in whatever they’re doing and most are hired because they have education in the industry. They also removed most bonus opportunities for staff members with the newest shift in corporate management.

I worked at Best Buy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Base salary is decent (objective) if you're looking for somewhere to work - Employee discounts are great - Friendly coworkers

    Cons

    - Most of the management cares about your wellbeing and growth, but the select few made my experience at Best Buy miserable - Lack of leadership and owning up to one's mistakes - Hierarchy internal system. Impossible to get promoted unless you're in the "leadership circle". Positions were "guaranteed" to specific employees, even though they promised "equal" chance for everyone who applied to said positions

I have been working at Best Buy part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people work there. Always get to play with all the best products. The general managers that I have worked with were great. They really do try to train the staff at becoming better employees. Great online training program you can use at home. 401K program is pretty good. Low stress level job for most areas in the store level jobs. Pushes for store meetings and events which are by far the best part.

    Cons

Sometimes pushes numbers too much on employees. Wasting time writing down goals on how we can increase sales or whatever number we need to increase when we can't determine the customers coming into the store. Need to close on Thanksgiving, online shopping should be changing this soon enough.
