I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I was in college full time, and needed a job for part time, every team welcomed me, helped me, taught me, I learned such valuable people skills.
    other pros were:
    - nice & helpful coworkers
    -fair hours
    -comfortable and respectable culture
    -great management of workers/shift
    -easy to advance

    Cons

-if you aren't used to standing for long hours, don't apply as a sales associate.

    Advice to Management

maybe a bit more prep before being put out on the floor to help people

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Above average discounts, hours are somewhat flexible, plenty of resources for learning.

    Cons

They still tax you on your paycheck on goods that you purchase with your discount. Plenty of butt kissing, better watch your back since people with look for ways to get rid of you.

    Advice to Management

Focus on what's important to your employees and they will want to work for you, there is a lot of upper management that has a condescending attitude towards employees and that will never work.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Endless options for applied learning. Contributions made by individual and group team members. Competitive benefits. Great company to start at any level.

    Cons

Company is always changing. The higher you go up the corporate the more likely you are to be cut at some-point. Nepotism seems to be its worst con but I personally have overcome this con as I personally have focused on promoting myself by my character and merit.

    Advice to Management

Continue efforts in really using company resources to enhance employees and team members lives. There are lots of resources but many go under used or are never used.

I worked at Best Buy (More than a year)

    Pros

Just being around technology all the time and interacting with customers about it really never gets boring.

    Cons

The pay is relatively low in contract to the amount of work you do as a part timer. Its most likely more worth it as a full timer.
