I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This technology store was my first retail experience and I enjoyed the journey from seasonal sales employee to full time Operations Senior. I consider Best Buy to be a very flexible place to work. I was able to keep the job during two long distance moves and college. I was also elected Viewpoint Captain which gave me the opportunity to coordinate a Hurricane Katrina food drive, local little league sponsorship and employee social events.

    Cons

Honestly, it's hard to find something that I would advise others to look out for when considering working here. I guess I could have negotiated my pay a little better initially, but I was lucky enough to find people that rewarded my efforts as I was promoted quickly.

    Advice to Management

I'm personally a results-driven person, but I found it challenging to make it fun for the cashiers and customer service representatives to get magazine subscriptions.
