I have been working at Best Buy for more than a year

    Pros

The discounts are great. The amount of products sold to actually receive a significant discount is also great. Most of the time you makes friends and develop a great community of friends from working here.

    Cons

Very low pay, training doesn't help understand the products they want to sell. Scheduling is at times inconsistent and there definitely is political involvement.

I worked at Best Buy part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

For those of us who are technologically savvy, working at Best Buy is like being a kid in a candy store. - Customer-based, hands-on, high-energy work atmosphere - Latest and greatest technology spanning every imaginable electronics category - Many opportunities for promotion (upper level management and corporate associates commonly start as a "blue-shirt"/retail associate before advancing)

    Cons

    - Benefits are only issued to full-time employees, and employees can work full-time hours but still be coded as "part-time," i.e. benefits are hard to come by and full-time spots are competitive - Management is not always fit to lead

I worked at Best Buy part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everyone was very welcoming. The company has so many incentives for the employees. They listen to employees concerns, and actively work to make things better.

    Cons

The Discount isn't always the best on top brands, however Best Buy brands are just as great.
