I worked at Best Buy full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

I worked at best buy in spartanburg for 3 years. The people I worked with were great and I loved the open door policy. If you have an issue with a coworker or a manager you can speak to a manager or HR about the issue and you receive no repercussion. You also have the ability to earn bonus'. However, they bonus' are not as good as they were when I first started. When I first started you would receive bonus' from customers...

    Cons

Health insurance is a little pricey and doesn't cover much. Pay caps are a little low. That is really the only reason that I left was because they just don't pay enough unless you are in management. You will be required to work long hours during holidays and will only have Christmas day off. Also, you are not allowed to request time off between November thru the beginning of January.

    Advice to Management

I have always loved the management at the Best Buy in Spartanburg South Carolina. They care about their employees and are always there when you need assistance.

I worked at Best Buy part-time for more than a year

    Pros

What an awsome layout of products, if you want experience in sales, You can start in movies and video games (Lifestyle Department) and later request to move to a more specialised task, like mobile sales or tv sales. Its easy to move up if you know the name of the game.

    Cons

Theres no commission pay for best buy employees, although the company has lots of training they provide including retail certifcations, A+ certifications, so on, and Money for College, and the list goes on it, The Managemnet is very sour and will lie to keep the lid on employee personal growth. Your gonna have to know what buttons to push here to move up. These Managers will fire theyre most trained staff if it means...

I worked at Best Buy full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Great co-workers (you'll make some great friends here if technology IS your thing), great pay and good benefits. Keep your head up and work as a team to strive and you may actually make a bonus or two.

    Cons

Horrible management led me to quit the company. The company goes through many reorganizations and your job title is VERY likely to change if you stay with the company long.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the little guys, usually they are the ones that got you to the position that you're in.
