I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Discounts, Accommodations, Product Knowledge, Pay (Min just increased by $4 for each position)

    Cons

Holiday hours get pretty tiring. Larger stores hours are increased for employees due to the demand of trucks, merchandising, and inventory.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees, they're your best assets. Take care of them and they'll take care of you. Empower your employees and put them where they can use their max potential.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Love my job. It's great, pretty lax as long as you do the work you're supposed to. Easy to climb the ladder.

    Cons

The only full time positions are the GM and the AM. Wish I could go full time just for the benefits (which are great).

    Advice to Management

Allow full time positions in the SAS stores and I would be eternally happy.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent employee experience team. Can be fun if you have the right manager. Fast paced. You get very close to the people you work with and create lots of lasting friendships.

    Cons

Pay. Very sales driven! They ask a whole lot of you compared to how much you get paid and the amount of $$ you make for them. You can bonus but not very often and it's not much (maybe $30 extra for the whole month if you meet all the strict requirements as a department), but managers bonus often with good $$. YOU WILL WORK EVERY HOLIDAY!!

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, challenging, independence when working sales, chance to learn about specific fields. You have the chance to really perform as a salesperson without the pressure of commission.

    Cons

Very corporate, often encouraged to over-sell, and pseudo-profiling of customers can be tiresome.
