    Pros

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benfits both for part time and full time, lots of accommodations, career focus goals, non commission as well. Plus, rewarding monthly and quarter meeting and recognition.

    Cons

Being in computers, you have some of the highest goals in the store, based on hour sales which ranges between $800-1300 an hour depending on the season. It's also retail work, and holiday time tends to be rough, blacked out dates from late November, to January.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Chill environment and co-workers. You just help people make the right purchase!

    Cons

Even if you're one of the hardest working employees, they are too strict on scheduling/transitioning to part time if you're full time. They really do what it takes to keep you there 5 days a week.

    Advice to Management

My only complaint comes from a certain manager not really taking it serious when you need to change schedules based on life changes.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I had more fun working retail for electronics than other retail positions I've held. Employee discount and accommodations make this job absolutely worth looking into. Incredible discount on electronics offered at Best Buy.

    Cons

Some metrics used to measure performance aren't as realistic in certain positions, especially in customer service.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The culture of Best Buy is a great culture itself but it is nothing in comparison to Geek Squad. Having fun while being the best is what they are all about.

    Cons

I was not a fan of working holidays and weekends. I was happy to find a role outside of the retail hours and not have to work Q4 retail craziness.

    Advice to Management

Management was great at listening but the ratios they used for merit or equity increases didn't compare very well to what they could have done.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good training, they have semi annual market trainings, elearnings are always available. Lots of resources if you’re willing to learn.

    Cons

Management are normally pretty useless, I worked at three locations and that was consistent. There are usually a bunch of young adults employed there, a lot like working at a high school.

    Advice to Management

Be certified in the departments. When employees come to you for help, the answer shouldn’t be I don’t know, figure it out.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Best Buy teaches their sales associates basic selling skills, and keeps associates knowledgeable on current technology. It also teaches you how to maintain and meet sales goals set by the company.

    Cons

Best Buy treats their non-commissioned sales associates as commission sales. They expect their associates to do more and know more than any other consumer sales company but pays less than all of them.

    Pros

Good work life balance and pay

    Cons

they closed down all of the stores. Hard to find a lateral transfer with the same pay

    Advice to Management

Do a better job developing and promoting your talented employees. No one likes to stay "comfortable" doing the same job for the rest of their lives.,.. clearly we didnt have that option,
