I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Really care about workers
    - Good compensation for the area
    - Chains of command
    - Flexible, especially for students

    Cons

    - Stores vary by management
    - Some management do not listen to advice and cut lines of communication
    - Some favoritism/nepotism in my area management, across several stores
    - Training for management not always required, leaving employees more knowledgeable than an area manager in some cases

    Advice to Management

    - Require updated training for managers and refresh every year or so, as things change
    - Be more open to feedback all year round

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent Pay, good work environment, good management, and good employee pay incentives.

    Cons

No real benefits for part time employees when it comes to health insurance which is a major need for someone working two jobs and 60 hours a week.

    Advice to Management

Give part time employees better health benefits and insurance

    Pros

Love the company and what it stands for.

    Cons

There are, like most employers, wide gaps in leadership at the low/mid level. I’ve been with great leaders, and when they are great, the job is the best job I’ve ever had. Same could be said on opposite end of spectrum. There is also still a legacy mindset of fear of losing your job due to past restructures.

    Pros

    Cons

Hours of operation, a lot of management changes

    Advice to Management

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Overall fun work environment, easy if you're doing your job. If you're with the right leadership team, it can be massively beneficial. Lots of business acumen knowledge.

    Cons

People come and go often, even with managers, so often built relationships can hurt your career path. Benefits were a bit expensive

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the positive culture.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Being a college student, Best Buy was MORE than willing to work with me on my hours to fit my school schedule.

Everyone was very friendly, and if I ever had any questions, they were right there to help out.

    Cons

The only cons that I ever ran into with this job is that you are on your feet, which is to be expected, and that customers can get rude. Again, that is to be expected. If you've got some tough skin and a good attitude, this won't affect you at all.
