    Pros

Awesome company, great benefits, lots of opportunities. Build great friendships. Learn a lot about running a business, if you choose too.

    Cons

Can be really challenging at times. Company policy creates roadblocks at times. As always, customers can be difficult in retail. Have to deal with impatient and moronic people at times.

    Advice to Management

    Improve work / life balance.

    Pros

You are able to learn a lot about all different types of technology.

    Cons

I worked at Best Buy part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

You learn a lot, mostly relaxed environment.

    Cons

Large emphasis on selling first, customer service later, even though you get minimal benefit for doing so. It seemed like co-workers cared more about their numbers than their work ethic

    Advice to Management

If the store is not hitting their numbers, it might have more to do with the location itself and the customer base than the abilities of your workers.

    Cons

Favoritism is the only way to move up.

    Advice to Management

Give those who deserve leadership positions a fair chance and not just give higher opportunities to those you are “cool” with.

    Pros

Learn a lot and get inside knowledge about new products Awesome perks when you get them

    Cons

Depending which store you are located the company keeps changing and some managers are not eager to promote within the company but hire outside I have not seen as much upward growth as I believe is possible Can be extremely stressful it is retail after all

    Advice to Management

Make sure all your managers are trained and practicing what they preach. Incorporate more ways for people who have been there to move up within the company.
