I have been working at Best Fitness full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best Fitness really cares about their employee's. I started out as a front desk employee, part time, within a year I was promoted to a Club Coordinator, where I did a lot of back end office work, as well as front desk management. From there I was given the opportunity to become an Operations Coordinator, where I managed all things operational in the club. After this, I entered into the Corporate Office, where I still reside today and absolutely love it!! Best Fitness gave me the opportunity to grow with the company and I continue to learn and grow each day! They have amazing employees who work with you and teach you to succeed. The pay here is very good, along with great benefits! Best Fitness is the best thing that has happened to me! Just to think I started out as Front Desk, here I am now working in their corporate office (this was my goal)! Best Fitness isn't only a job.. it is a career and a family!

    Cons

There are no cons that I can come up with for this great company!

    Advice to Management

Keep believing in your employee's and your members! Keep the knowledge flowing, so we can all learn and grow with Best Fitness!

I have been working at Best Fitness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Free gym membership.
Co-workers are always upbeat and full of energy.
Discounts on personal training, services and products.
Getting to meet a ton of new great people daily.
Awesome kid's club. My son loves coming with me so I can workout.
Tons of money spent on renovating the locations and they are the cleanest I've ever been in.
Lots of input from upper management on ways to improve and constant feedback on how well you are doing.

    Cons

High expectations, which is also a good thing because they expect a lot out of all of us equally.
Frequent changes to management by transferring them around to different clubs. While trying to make things work the best they can and recognizing the potential in the staff they move people around which can be confusing after just getting used to a manager. On the flip side if you don't get along with your manager just sit tight because they may transfer him or her out to a different club.

I have been working at Best Fitness part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free gym membership to all facilities, fun environment if you like children, shifts are only 3-4 hours long, good part time job for parent or student.

    Cons

Can be a stressful environment if you have too many kids at one time, hiring process takes a few weeks.

    Advice to Management

Hire within timely manner if you know employee is leaving, don't wait until employee leaves to hire someone new because it takes so long to get people on the schedule.

I worked at Best Fitness full-time

    Pros

Great people to work with and a fun environment to work in. Looked forward going to work everyday. Some months the day flies by. Great first job for sales experience.

    Cons

Micromanaged by the corporate office. Day can be extremely slow especially in the summer months. Schedule is terrible and work awful hours. Pay is not nearly enough and there is little to no opportunity for growth in the company.

    Advice to Management

Trust the people you hire and don't constantly change the process it is hard to be successful with constant changes in philosophies and goals.
