    Pros

Some good perks 10% off card after 90 days employed, some employee parties with food.
Reward certificates in form of a coupon or gift certificate.
    Free turkey on Thanksgiving.

    Cons

Not enough cashiers during busy periods (lunchtime/dinner time)
Most CSM’s aren’t willing to help you improve and are slow to help.
They have a items per minute scan amount you must reach or you get hours cut or a suspension.
Same with overages limits per month cap including cash, coupons etc.
    Can be cliquey/favorites

    Advice to Management

Be quicker or have a different system for price checks.
Be available immediately for when a cashier needs bottle returns or find a way cashiers can do them without codes.
Hire more cashiers when it is busy.

I have been working at Best Yet Market full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I've been at Best Market for over 5 years now. They offer many opportunities for promotions. They will always treat you right as long as you put the work in. They offer many team building experiences such as baseball games, fishing trips etc. Also their employee appreciation summer BBQs are a nice touch. Non union which depending on your work style could be to your advantage or disadvantage. Most managers I've had have been very good. This includes both department and store manager. The corporate management tend to be a**holes usually but you don't have to see them too often so that's good. Overall its a good place to work. I've never had any serious issues.

    Cons

Their compensation isn't great but its a super market job so you shouldn't be expecting miracles. Management sometimes takes forever to fix broken appliances. For example broken slicers and rotisserie machines would sometimes take months to fix. Management can sometimes be sporadic. I've heard completely opposite rules from two separate store level managers. Very uncoordinated. Always understaffed. They provide you with the bare minimum of employees to get the job done. if somebody calls out you are essentially screwed and if you are the one calling out they will make you feel like a terrible person. That shouldn't be your fault that the company refuses to hire new employees. They are also very stingy with over time. They will schedule you for 39.5 hrs to get the most out of you without hitting that 40hr mark and going overtime.

    Advice to Management

Fix your appliances faster and schedule more hours per department. This bare minimum hours thing is absolutely horrible. Keep your employees happy and don't take them for granted.

    Pros

Some pros for working at this company are flexible work schedules, friendly employees, and lovely company parties. It is a great place to work for young high school students as well.

    Cons

The pay is not that great, there is no union, and some employees are not trained properly. Overall, it is a good company to work for.

    Advice to Management

Great management, although it took awhile for my store to find the right person for the job. Very organized and keeps the store clean.

I have been working at Best Yet Market full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very challenging with some freedom, as always ones happiness and satisfaction depends on the people we work with.

    Cons

Lots of micro management. Constant requests for pics "confirming" or more like proving that one is following through gets quite monotonous and unnecessary.....tiring.

    Advice to Management

Slow down and train,train,train.....did I mention training? Then pay and compensate those who do well....pay them
to train and on we go. Your turn over rate is effecting your reputation, long turn growth and the bottom line. As you train and compensate well deserving employees you will the draw from existing companies employees who are great at what they do. If you can pay an employee 15 to 18 dollars who shows up, understands our business, can train others, can do the work of 2 or 3 $10 an hour employee the you will get that investment back 10 fold.
