I have been working at Bestseller full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

After five years of work i can say through the up and downs, good and bad times it is not only been fruitfull but one of the most great multi lessons a some one could experiance.

    Cons

Benifits are not so available how ever they do exist, perks are encourged by managment but not always experienced during the day and promotions takes time and effort and they come at the last moment.

    Advice to Management

based on clear stable guided policies and pre defined task medels, Decenterlization efforts needs to be established even in some of the daily work were it would lighten the burden over the remote managment at the parent entity.

I have been working at Bestseller full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bestseller has so much diversity. You can get to have your own responsibility & yourself has to be in the front line to drive the business. You learn values, management , ethics all to make yourself experienced.

    Cons

The environment is conservative. The sharing between the team is very poor. It seems the ownership to be owned by everyone. Consistency is a big question

    I worked at Bestseller full-time

    Pros

    Excellent hard working team.

    Cons

Management were rude, condescending and had no regard for staff or their stores management. Poorly paid and worked crazy hours. Had no job security and was constantly belittled by grown men going out of their way to make you feel like you can never do a good job. Never rewarded for long hours or good work done.

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff with respect. Promote from within or else your staff have nothing to work for.

I worked at Bestseller full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Descent pay and incentive plan as compared to the other brands.

    Cons

Looking for a downfall due to excessive cost cuttings and quality degradation in order to achieve their targets and brands like Jack Jones are only alive due to excess marketing shell outs.

    Advice to Management

Please do follow the 10 principles in reality rather than just preaching and bragging about it.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Bestseller full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Area managers changing in company constantly so there is no consistency. Every time new rules and again you have to prove yourself. I took this job as I wanted to prove myself as store manager and have it on my CV. Learned a lot about analysing P&l, understanding GPM. Love my team

    Cons

Low pay for store manager, no possibility of going up. Even if area manager leaves there is no chance for store manager to apply for it no matter how many years you worked for company. Feel like you have no voice as no one is interested in hearing you

    Advice to Management

To listen store managers opinion, we are working 40 or more hours every week, we know our store and customer. Give some recognition for hard work
