Great stepping stone for career in behavioral health services. Hard work, low pay.

      Pros

Large amount of client interaction in a clinical role facilitating group therapy, completing biopsychosocial assessments, progress notes, referrals to outside medical resources, discharge summaries , and treatment plans.

      Cons

Moderate to low support from supervisors and corporate management. You feel like you have to pick and choose which clients to help because you're case load is to large to help everyone accordingly. Many staff members are themselves suffering from mental and behavioral health issues that are not being treated or stabilized. The work environment can be extremely unstable at times leaving you overwhelmed with issues that are not your job to fix, yet they fall on you.

      Pros

Hard working nurses, physicians and MA.

      Cons

Long hours, salary positions therefore no overtime pay. Lead PA in urology not clinically competent. Management is hostile in Urology clinic. Very high turnover of support staff including RNs, APP and support staff such as MA and secretaries. No chance for growth in this company.

      Pros

They sure seem nice! There's training and education available!

      Cons

They are nice, because they utterly lack in actual kindness. My manager was NEVER on time to any of our meetings, even when they fired me. They will give you a ton of critique, but absolutely zero guidance. In my 7 person department, over the course of 18 months, they hired 5 people and fired 6. If you want to be subtly put down, and blatantly lied to your face, then come work here! A great training location for future hopefuls of serving in the Trump administration. Also? I hope you're SUPER comfortable with discussions of pregnancy, attempts to get pregnant, difficulties in pregnancy etc. Because that's *literally* all they talk about, all the time. They put on a veneer of professionalism to cover the fact that they are utterly lacking in any meaningful leadership or leadership strategy. If you don't give them the numbers they want, in a very short period of time? Expect to be put on a one month PIP, but only have the first week reviewed. If you only need a few months work, or want the training? Go for it! But, no one should ever look at these departments with either respect, nor any expectation of long term employment. They will keep you just long enough until they have to fire you or promote you, and firing you is much cheaper.

      Pros

Paid Mileage for travel, 30 days PTO, 2 personal days, Possibility for on call extra hours and cash, OT not guaranteed but possible, Retirement benefits

      Cons

The merger of multiple hospitals and other healthcare entities has left the IT side of the house in shambles. Leadership is lost, but if you don't mind leaders that know less than you and are just looking for something with no stress or major responsibility this is the spot. IMO the healthcare options are not great.
