I have been working at BiddingForGood full-time

    Pros

At BiddingForGood, you are truly part of a team. Hard work is not overlooked, and there are always opportunities to gain new skills and move across departments. It is also a very supportive and fun environment to work in. The bosses I've had have been more like mentors, and the people I've worked with have always felt like friends. And I love what I do here.

    Cons

When you are a pioneer in a new kind of business, that means you sometimes have to make some tough decisions. I've worked for this company for over 8 years, and there have been significant changes in the business model during those times. It has sometimes meant losing good people, and it has sometimes meant making some real changes in how things are done on a day to day basis. There have been times when we had to step back and say, "we need to try something else". That isn't always easy to realize or adapt to, but I think for businesses to develop and grow, it's a reality you have to be ready for. You must know how to embrace change here.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be the great leaders that you are

I have been working at BiddingForGood full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

BiddingForGood has a great work environment. I really enjoy working with coworkers and management. Everyone works hard, and dead wood never lasts long.

There is a lot of flexibility and understanding when life gets in the way of work. In fact, management generally does its best to maintain a good work life balance.

Management isn't afraid to try new things so there are always interesting projects to work on. Budgets are tight, but not so much that you can't make progress.

    Cons

Pay and benefits are mediocre, though depending on your position and needs, the intangibles could more than make up for this.

Sometimes it feels like the company is stuck in neutral.

    Advice to Management

Stop endlessly tweaking sales and marking. The secret to success is not going to be found there. I think we need to expand our product line so we're relevant year-round.

    Pros

There are not many jobs where you can make a good living & feel like YOU are making an impact on the world. BiddingForGood sees fun, humor and relaxation not as the enemies of hard work, but as its allies. Management team (including CEO) are transparent and actively seek out ideas and act on the good ones!

    Cons

You work hard which means long hours. If your not willing to role up your sleeves and work - this is not the place for you. This is a company that understands the need for a strong work/life balance and has your back.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the hard work.
