Working at Big Apple Testing has been amazing. The employees and founders here are disciplined and highly competent while also being unfailing friendly, egoless and empathetic. I look forward to coming into the office on a daily basis.

I worked at Big Apple Testing full-time

    Pros

There are no pros here unfortunately.

    Cons

Extremely unprofessional staff all around, with the exception of maybe one or two employees. The environment is very distasteful and unorganized. The office is run more like a dive bar instead of a professional office environment. Employees with seniority are allowed to be disrespectful and condescending to new employees without facing any consequences.

I worked at Big Apple Testing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They put me in the field away from the office.

    Cons

They hired me to do construction inspections. They wanted me to drive to Greenpoint section of Brooklyn where there is no parking. I told them that I do not drive to any area of New York City where there is mass transit as I know the
subway system. They did not want to pay mileage and transit costs. They hired me at a much lower rate of pay and promised me that I would eventually be in charge of construction inspections. They insisted that I use a company issued cell phone that did not hold its charge and there is no cell phone service at my house as the trees shaded the house and block signals. I would call in every day for work. They had me go out only two or three days a week, even though I was promised full time work. The firm is run by two orthodox Jews who are very secretive. They sent me out one day to a location where they did not tell me what I was supposed to inspect or talk to. After one month, they let me go as they ran out of work for me.

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to use mass transit and pay for travel expenses. Provide training on use of their proprietary computer programs. Get your act together.
