I worked at Big Brothers Big Sisters full-time

    Pros

Hard working co-workers, the team supports each other. They're all passionate about the mission and genuinely want to make a difference.

    Cons

Lack of transparency from upper management to staff, lack of professional growth, agency's upper management doesn't seem to care much about staff input though it's a small agency, huge divide between departments and upper management doesn't seem to address this. Low pay in a very expensive areas.

    Advice to Management

Utilize input from staff to reduce turnover, talk to staff about ideas for creativity and professional development, help staff to see that this could be a career and not a stepping stone. Have better fiscal management.
