    I loved working here!

Mar 1, 2023 - Marketing and Communications Intern in Atlanta, GA

    Pros

Worked as a marketing and communications intern for the company. I worked with the company from January to May; I had an incredible experience with them. I'm very interested in working with them again. I would recommend the company to young professionals. They are hardworking, determined and they care about their work.

    Cons

I honestly don't have any cons. I would love to see more marketing and public relations jobs. I'd be happy to work with them again.

    Disappointing (Chicago office)

Mar 22, 2023 - Manager of Enrollment in Chicago, IL

    Pros

Many of my coworkers were wonderful, thoughtful people with a heart for the mission. Having a hybrid schedule was convenient.

    Cons

Low salary, high employee turnover, very high-pressure environment, quantity over quality mindset when it came to making matches, management was very unorganized and had unrealistic expectations for staff (especially the COO.) A great program for kids but internally, it was always such a mess.

    What a rollercoaster

    Pros

Biggest pro would be that I nominated the first transexual Little, and got to go to the National Conference (which sucked) to watch him be applauded for winning National Little of the Year!!!!

    Cons

Everything else. Monthly deadlines. Doing tasks outside of my job description. Being lied to by my executive director. Zero support. Co-workers were an absolute joke. The board was even worse and executive director would gossip about them alllllll of the time. Marketing team couldn’t raise money, so we were “temporarily laid off.” And then I was wrongfully terminated - asked to speak to HR department for months due to serious chronic illness, and when I was fired DUE to that, my executive director told me “I am your boss and HR department. There’s no one to talk to.” Oh, and then she forged my last paycheck lol
