    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Big Brothers Big Sisters full-time

    Pros

The mission of this organization, to provide adult mentors/role models to at-risk children, is both laudable and commendable.

    Cons

There is no oversight of local affiliates of this organization by national headquarters i.e., with a local board of directors that enables and turns the other cheek to an abusive, caustic and dishonest executive director, national has no knowledge of local issues, including misappropriation of funds, dysfunctional staff relationships, etc.

    Advice to Management

Headquarters in Florida needs to take a much greater oversight responsibility to what's going on at local affiliates. And clearly, this organization does not have a record of success in promoting people of color either in the corporate office or in executive director positions nationwide.
