      When you are on the cutting edge of an industry you are always learning while leading and BigID is a rewarding place to work.

        Pros

        Smart people, patents in the field.

        Cons

        Company does not who it is - started as classification, then data privacy, then data governance, and now is cloud data security. GTM and strategy is constantly changing. All sales are done through resellers, taking anywhere from 5-20% cut per deal which comes out of the sales reps pocket. Several rounds of layoffs seemingly out of nowhere, after leadership says we are in a good cash position. Boys club with nepotism towards others who have worked with senior/sales leadership in the past. Product is extremely "heavy" and impossible to implement. Majority of customers are struggling to implemented or in production after 1-2 years of owning the product.

          Pros

          A supportive team that really works well together. Some great technology and they seem to always be open to feedback.

          Cons

          As with any rapid-growth org there are some processes that need to be built and changed but they are open to these changes and encourage you to take control.

            Pros

            Great onboarding experience for a startup Work from home and lots of flexibility Benefits and PTO Most importantly, people, BigID has hired incredibly talented individuals and there is a real welcoming feeling and community.

            Cons

            Still working through documenting processes. Lots of tribal knowledge. I can say this is improving and the teams are open to new ideas and improving current processes.

              Onboarding process went seamlessly and it's great that BigID has all the resources available to ensure you are all ramped up into your new role. Along with having a great team and culture does help get through the day!

              I wish pay was a little higher but given the difficult times in this economy I am grateful to be working here!

                Pros

                Big Platform that can help many professionals in the Data Security, Governance, and Privacy pillars. Great ML classifiers and true automation of processes.

                Cons

                Regular layoffs. Not guaranteed job stability, high risk, and reward. Post-startup mode, no defined success criteria for the employees.

                    Pros

                    Feels like an experience you would expect from a much larger company! Fantastic experience, everyone at the company is so welcoming and is really professional. Onboarding experience was great and I was partnered up with my onboarding buddy and participated in a full schedule that included meetups across various departments and also a cohort-based development program.

                    Cons

                    Nothing negative so far. I think they're doing a great job!
