I have been working at Billy Casper Golf full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work/life balance. Management worked hard to show that they care. Great opportunities for advancement. Chicago golfers are fun to be around and the work environment is pleasant.

    Cons

Being around other managers and staff that expect handouts and need to be coddled or they feel like they've been slighted.

    Advice to Management

Keep staff social events in place. More communication between other regions of ideas and news. Have more hands on training with regional management.

I worked at Billy Casper Golf full-time

    Pros

Left alone for the most part to manage your facility.

    Cons

They mostly like to hire from within. They hire desperate people for very low income and if you can last long enough and bust your butt you have a shot at get promoted soon, since there is so much turnover with GM's. At least in the Chicago area. If you somehow can crack that egg of getting hired without working from within, your training is bad at best. You have to learn from your peers mostly. They are not set up to teach you all the ropes or don't care. If you can't keep up their patience is very limited and will soon give you a 30 day notice to get things in shape. Whether you "straighten" things out or not your days are limited once that 30 day notice is given to you. Everything is weighed around money not people.

    Advice to Management

I have heard that the rest of the company in the country is nothing like the Chicago area.
