    Pros

There are great medical and dental benefits. They have annual xmas parties etc.

    Cons

    Management stinks. They micromanage everyone.

    Advice to Management

Some managers need to be taken to HR for what they do their employees. If you open your mouth you are in trouble. There is also some nepotism,

I have been working at Bio-Reference Labs full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great department to expand knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of tests and what they test for , ongoing training provided for all new tests and processes, monthly feedback 1:1's with Supervisors on overall productivity and how to improve performance. Plenty of knowledgeable resources to assist with roadblock questions. Great new hire training program which is detailed and beneficial.

    Cons

Would like more reps on the floor to be positive minded, and strive for more personal growth as the way some people think out loud affects other reps in a negative way.

    Advice to Management

Great management team who is always looking for ways to make the department better and assist reps. Keep being positive with your employees!!

    Pros

The only thing to note is the insurance and benefits are some of the best around

    Cons

Any department you work in some bosses can be rude and talk to employees in an unprofessional manner. No positive motivation given to employees over good thing done all about work. Some employees are rude and very two-faced when talking to employer or employee.

    Advice to Management

Learn to give positive motivation to employees

I have been working at Bio-Reference Labs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Opko purchased BioReference in Aug 2015. Until then BioReference had operated in a small company mode even though their revenue was over 800 million per year and they grew 15% to 25% per year. After the purchase more corporate procedures and processes were incorporated as expected (and often needed) but the corporate culture changed.

    Cons

Since the turnover of CEO Marc Grodman approximately a year ago the company culture has significantly changed. Implementation of SAP, and many other systems have decreased corporate productivity. There has been significant upper management turnover, especially in the genetics area.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more regarding business strategy. Employees are always concerned with change and reduced growth.

    Pros

Friendly environment, Manageable schedules and flexible supervisor

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Pump up the salary or better the benefits to compensate
