    I worked at Bio-Reference Labs full-time

    Pros

Gaining valuable experience and apply to other companies.

    Cons

Special coag dept. Everything. A lot of micromanagement and workload. The tech are stress out everyday. They want you to finish within a 8 hour shift. But it's impossible and understaffed. High turnover rate of staff. Weekly inventory and the machine breaks down which delays your work. Weekly staff meeting. I don't understand how any tech would stay there at 1-6 years. Supervisors are stress and will keep interruipting you for pending. Loads of pending to do everyday. Only one shift

    Advice to Management

Open a second shift and not too many workload for the techs.

    Pros

Very Great PTO and health insurance. They CAN be understanding and they will listen to your side of any situation.

    Cons

Unfair salaries and nepotism at its best. Families upon families moving up in the business while others are stuck at the same level they were hired at.

    Advice to Management

    Open your eyes

    Cons

No cons working at BioReference. Only thing they should look into tuition reimbursement for employees.

    Disapproves of CEO

    I worked at Bio-Reference Labs part-time

    Pros

starting pay not bad to start

    Cons

supervisors don't back-up employee, they take the client's word and disregard the employees. Lost job because client didn't like me for whatever reason, supervisor aware of situation from the day I started in the client's office. I was second person this happened to, but I was let go from the company permanently. The other employee was given another position elsewhere. Went through week of orientation an hour from home did not get reimbursed for gas or mileage.

    Advice to Management

There is obviously a problem with this client that they request another phlebotomist more than once. Its not fair to hire someone in a site that no one wants cause of the lack of hours, and the history know about this office changing phlebotomist and never being satisfied with Bio-Reference's employment choices.
