I have been working at Biomet full-time

    Pros

The pay is o.k. for the area.

    Cons

Disorganization from the top down. People aren't held accountable. Small town mentality. Everyone knows everyone so if one person doesn't like you just about the whole company won't.

    Advice to Management

Quit hiring people because they're friends of people that work there. Start at the top and clean house. There are many people who sit around and goof off all day. Cell phones off the warehouse floor site wide as well as head phones out of the ears of forklift drivers. All would be a start in the right direction.

    Cons

    Pros

EBI can provide a good opportunity for someone who wants to learn more about environmental consulting and get some hands on experience. You will be assigned to a particular department, (real estate, ehs, etc.) but it is possible to move if you demonstrate interest. There are many young, like-minded professionals and the company tries to provide a pleasant working atmosphere.

    Cons

Salaries are low but the chance to gain experience is worthwhile. There is not a feeling of company loyalty: I have seen people let go without much warning.

    Advice to Management

The more loyalty you show your employees, the more they will want to work hard for the company in return.

Raw materials do not always arrive on time which delays production. For office staff not enough room for advancement.
