I worked at Biotest Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

Learning environment. Structured. Benefits. Opportunity to meet lots of people.

    Cons

Lots of exposure to blood born pathogens. Pay is decent but considering the amount of work it should be more. You are asked to stay later a lot of the time. They are open 7 days a week so you would work all for like 10 days straight through the weekend have a Wednesday of get the following weekend off but then do it again but yet they shortened your days to make sure you didn't get overtime.

I have been working at Biotest Pharmaceuticals part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are absolutely zero positive things about working here.

    Cons

-Management acts like you are the dirt they walk on
-Donors will speak to you in a manner that is almost considered assault (threats, personal attacks, sexual threats if you're a woman) and management will do nothing about it
-They hire absolutely unqualified people who are power hungry and inappropriate in the work environment. They act like they're the managers when you really all hold the same position
-Be prepared to be talked down to by EVERYONE.
-They'll walk all over you and tell you you don't get to lunch if they're too busy in the center
-Tell you you'll get off at 7:30, don't leave until 10 on the busiest nights.
-You get paid NOWHERE near what you should for the job tasks
-Oh, you want to move up in the company? Forget it. In my 2 years of working there, I literally did not see one person get promoted. Probably because 90% of the people hired barely have a GED

    Advice to Management

Hire qualified candidates, not the half-brained individuals. Control your employees and your center's overall environment.

I worked at Biotest Pharmaceuticals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was a very fast paced environment to work in. You do get benefits for full-time and paid days off. If you're part-time, you only can get a few days off and have to work weekends.

    Cons

Hard to ever call in sick, so if you have a fever buckle up and go to work. Very limited days. If they send you home early, they use your PTO without telling you. Favoritism is high at this company and not every employee is treated equally. If you're at the bottom of the food chain, sucks. Lots of turnover. Bad schedule flexibility. Never the same schedule.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees equally. Favoritism calls for an unfavorable work environment.

I worked at Biotest Pharmaceuticals part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The friendship between employees makes the difference, and your days are much easy to handled. The turn over is very high.

    Cons

No consistency in some rules to follow-up is depends who is, and favoritism with some people is frecuently observed. Some supervisors and tem leads are disrespectfully with some employees, instead of motivate them, they treat them badly resulting in a bad work environment.

    Advice to Management

No, because they know that and I believe is kind a way to control the people. I weard but is the only reason I figured out.

I worked at Biotest Pharmaceuticals part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Building some amazing relationships with both donors and co-workers
-Enhancing biometric, phlebotomy, and lab prep skills
    -Occasional rewards and recognition

    Cons

-Overworked after tax season, busy!!busy!!! (no matter if you are part-time)
-Under paid for the amount of work
-Early lunches and shorter 15 min breaks (especially for afternoon shift)
-No room for advancement (but will train as a backup with no raise)

    Advice to Management

There a better ways to be effective without all the deceit and micromanaging. If you took the time to learn your employees strengths and weaknesses, you could better gauge who works well with others and who doesn't. Employees look to mgmt. as an example, but how is that to happen when your mgmt team is in chaos and follow the rules sometime. Get it together for your Biotest family!!!
