I have been working at Birch Communications full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

$100K+ First Year. Promoted 4x in first year and 5 months for simply hitting my bare quota consistently. I earned (4) 10% Raises in one year. TONS of growth and opportunity. GREAT work/Life balance. Run your own schedule most of the day EVERYDAY

    Cons

People who get hired here, become lazy, complain, get fired, then bad mouth everybody and the company but NEVER blame themselves for their lack of productivity because THIS JOB IS SOOO EASY if you SIMPLY LOVE TO MAKE ALOT OF MONEY!

    Advice to Management

DO NOT EXCEPT PEOPLE WHO ARE FAKE WORKERS! It KILLS the moral for weaker minded individuals and they CRUSH the bad reviews causing others to pass up on POSSIBLY the BEST OPPORTUNITY THEY WILL BE OFFERED when it comes to Base Salary, Commission, Growth and Work/Life Balance.

I worked at Birch Communications full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

a light severance package and an opportunity to move on.

    Cons

    - direction is more erratic then a chicken with its head cut off - the only way to address anything is to implement more steps between entry level and leadership when you have an issue - talk about growth, improved products, and then push back and delay month in and month out - install rate on fiber is honestly about 25% - complete disconnect between the steps of the sales process. no communication between...

    Advice to Management

It was so sad to see people leave other jobs to come here only to get laid off months later. Birch stole time from people they will never get back. maybe try rebranding, change your name back to cbyeond, people blame birch for everything and talk about the company like it was a treasure when it was cbeyond. most importantly, value the lives of human beings. stop lying, don't make promises you never intend on keeping,...

I worked at Birch Communications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

None, they laid off their entire Direct Sales Team by sending their HR staff to every local office and basically stating "thanks for the effort, but we're letting you go today."

    Cons

Too many to list. They are a terribly mismanaged Co that is running out of money. Recently fined multiple millions of dollars for misleading customers.

    Advice to Management

Management only cares about themselves. They lied for months to their loyal employees about pending transactions, hiring, and job security. Hopefully, the board fires them all eventually.

I worked at Birch Communications full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Basic industry and product knowledge. The Sales process is drilled into your head, (which is a good thing) but at the end of the day, you gotta be able to think outside of the box, and color outside the lines. You are told to "separate" yourself from the competition and stand out. BUT, be careful! It can backfire on you very quick.

      Cons

Micromanaging. Had to learn from trial & error. Favoritism demonstrated IF you sold something. House accounts (inorganic deals) used against you to keep you motivated. There is NO management...at all. If you can't sell it, Mgr will go around you to, 1.)close it OR 2.)screw it up! No customer service (it's not an SAE's job) You give out the customer care hotline number and move on to the next victim. Kids managing kids....

      Advice to Management

Train your management to "manage a team". Invest in having a program in place to transition them from being the best rep to a top notch coach! If you train A rep, you will get A trained rep! If you train A team you will get A trained team! It's that simple, Birch. Dangling a carrot in front of them and using passive aggressive scare tactics will only hurt your industry reputation. And trust me, word DOES travel fast!...
