    I worked at Birch Communications

    Pros

A paycheck nothing more. Good people work there, free parking for Braves games, the heat and A/C works. Bathrooms are clean.

    Cons

Poor management, treat employees like dirt, lie to employees, no honor. Sold out to infusion.. or Confusion. Free parking bring your own cup to work

    Advice to Management

Fire all management and start over.

I worked at Birch Communications full-time

    Pros

There were good people there that worked hard and cared about their jobs and customers.

    Cons

The good people were crushed by the tyrannical senior management that did not care about customer service or staff. They have done so many layoffs in the past 3 months there is virtually nothing left. Customers are abandoning this sinking ship and they can't find new customers because of the multitude of negative reviews online. The government fined the company for misleading...

    Advice to Management

Improve communication, be honest with customers and staff, follow through with a plan and stop changing direction every other week. Don't hire people in December and then lay them off in March!

I have been working at Birch Communications full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

There are some good people who work here.

    Cons

The company is a disaster. They continue to grow only by M&A and lose many customers when they jam them into their billing system which is a joke in itself. Accounting management is spineless and beholden to a person outside the organization who has free reign over the company and is one of the most unethical people I've met in my life. Their benefits are some of the worst in class. The 401k match is for the most...

    Advice to Management

This is headed one of two ways, either Birch sells out or goes bankrupt (which they've done previously). There's really not much you can change, the problem is inherently systemic and rooted in unethical business practices and ignoring the customer base.

I have been working at Birch Communications full-time

    Pros

    Some really good people

    Cons

The really good people are clueless as to how to run a technology centric company. Here is a clue - Cbeyond was not a CLEC!!!!! Birch got rid of their old COO, a horrible VP of operations, and replaced them with feckless leaders. 2+ yrs post acquisition and this company remains a train wreck. Run away from this company. All positive reviews are plants......

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to shoehorn complex product process into simplistic telecom processes. Listen to the few experts you have left

I have been working at Birch Communications full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Company continued to grow providing lots of opportunity for good people to advance. Mostly hard workers and most of the leaders are good.

    Cons

Fast growth has led to some bumps along the way. Some leaders need to go. Severs good ones have come in in the past couple of years but seem to be held back by bad ones that have been there for a while.

    Advice to Management

Trust the people who work for you and give them opportunities.

    Pros

Good people to work with. Management is lazy towards installation and customer service.

    Cons

Management is lazy towards installation and customer service. The sales role is filled with preteens and wannabes slinging bandwidth and phones they can't deliver

I have been working at Birch Communications full-time

    Pros

Amazing work environment. Great people, amazing managers to assist and teach you at any given time. They work with you and have Flexible hours. There is ALWAYS room to grow with this job and you can Learn A LOT if you choose too. Benefits are great here as well. They strive to make sure everything works out for you and that you succeed in the company

    Cons

The Pay isn't the best for what all we do but It is a work in progress. The communications between higher levels and lower levels of tech support are not the best. More Training documentation is needed and more time showing techs how to trouble shoot would be a good thing to do. There are a lot of people who need more time learning and this job is more of a here is what you get and now go. More Training in some areas...

    Advice to Management

Communication is needed badly between Tiers. And pay is quite low for how much we do.

Good Pay. Good benefits. Good people in support and training.

    Cons

Poor service installations. Little concern for customer outages. Some of top management people do not care or communicate well.

    Advice to Management

None. It would fall on deaf ears anyway.
