    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Birch Communications full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Had a few great people to work with/ around.

    Cons

Management is very one-sided. They have their "friends" and "clicks" and if you're not apart of that, you're out! They do not take the time to listen, and often times play "dumb" when questions are asked of them.

    Advice to Management

Do not lie, be transparent, and leave your personal feelings at home. Not Everyone is NOT OUT for your job. Take the time to listen to your Team, and dont take sides; its not very becoming What goes around usually comes around!!

        No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Birch Communications full-time for more than 6 years

        Pros

We still have great people here, plenty of overtime, get exposure to a variety of technologies

        Cons

Total chaos, in constant change, steady out flow of talent so the pool of knowledge and ability to resolve issues for customers diminishes daily

        Advice to Management

Hire and pay technical talent well - haven't had a raise since starting with the company, no redundancy in network so systems keep failing instead of failing over and the customers are bleeding

I worked at Birch Communications full-time

        Pros

The people you work with make this job manageable. There are some great people at this company that seem to be getting ready to leave.

        Cons

Management, not the type of people you want to be managing you. They have no direction and Atlanta can do whatever they want as far as stealing accounts. Your management will never have your back and the best you can hope for is a split in that situation. This combo with the fact that it is turning into a micromanaging environment every step of the way is a big factor in why people are leaving the company in droves.

        Advice to Management

Stand by your people, when you know something is wrong don't act like it is ok. Acknowledge the problem and do your best to fix it. don't make excuses for what is happening and attempt to to come up with a real resolution. Having the top sales exec in your office you would think would be an advantage but it doesn't seem to matter. Bring on people that are honest and ethical and stand by those people.

I have been working at Birch Communications full-time

        Pros

Amazing work environment. Great people, amazing managers to assist and teach you at any given time. They work with you and have Flexible hours. There is ALWAYS room to grow with this job and you can Learn A LOT if you choose too. Benefits are great here as well. They strive to make sure everything works out for you and that you succeed in the company

        Cons

The Pay isn't the best for what all we do but It is a work in progress. The communications between higher levels and lower levels of tech support are not the best. More Training documentation is needed and more time showing techs how to trouble shoot would be a good thing to do. There are a lot of people who need more time learning and this job is more of a here is what you get and now go. More Training in some areas...

        Advice to Management

Communication is needed badly between Tiers. And pay is quite low for how much we do.
