Get on the same page. Create a new hire/training process and stick to it. Keep promises and agreements you make with employees.

I worked at Bisk full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are many skilled, great people

    Cons

The skilled people are not free to make their own decisions. Leadership views them as replaceable commodities.

An untouchable person supersedes decisions and is a bottleneck for multiple departments. Many people have come forward to HR but they have refused to act. The other senior leadership members are aware of the problem but they too seem too fearful to address it.

This might seem like a simple problem but it's in the fabric of the company's DNA. It's a family company and therefore they are above all others. If there is no accountability at the top, then how do they expect employees to live by the values that it preaches?

Reminds me of this quote: “Fredo, you’re my older brother, and I love you. But don’t ever take sides with anyone against the family again. Ever.” – Michael Corleone

    Advice to Management

Address the problem or more people will quit.

I have been working at Bisk full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

OK, some of these reviews have valid concerns. I won't deny that. But we just went through Hurricane Irma, and instead of Bisk telling us to come back in ASAP, we got FOUR paid days off and their main concern was our safety. How many companies have you worked for in the past that would do that?? I don't have any in my past work history who would've been so generous.

They're a family company and they always understand when family issues arise that need to be taken care of. It's a great company culture, and honestly my work friends are some of the closest friends I have. It's the greatest organization I've ever worked for. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a job with solid organizational culture, great fellow employees and decent benefits.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be disorganized. But what company isn't like that from time to time? And sometimes we don't get things communicated to us as efficiently as they could be. Again, what company isn't like that?

I worked at Bisk (Less than a year)

    Pros

There were some cool people there. Just a few, though.

    Cons

If hating your life is a career goal, this is the place for you. There is no other way to explain the environment at Bisk other than negative and soul crushing. I urge you to keep looking for another job. I promise you, you don’t want this experience in your life.

    Advice to Management

Evaluate your life. Is this where you thought you’d be at this point? Take steps to find a company that appreciates you.

I have been working at Bisk full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Moderat compensation and good benefits.

    Cons

Management seems to be very iffy there - very unprofessional behavior by people with authority over a lot of people. This has made it an uncomfortable place to work.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time on training people managers.

    I worked at Bisk full-time

    Pros

Very passionate people who all truly want to make the company successful.

    Cons

Poor work environment, culture, fear and frustration with constant state of change, CEO is not a take charge individual and the company suffers as a result.

    Advice to Management

CEO needs to take charge and run his company and not leave things to his underlings in all situations. No central point of command, vision or direction and leaving to the teams results in fragmented chaos, each department doing their own thing. Client engagement department should not be running the company and it tries to causing more chaos. CEO must clearly and precisely share his vision, goals, and objectives and keep the company on task and accountable.
