Not enough assistance when the job becomes to much. COO micromanages and doesn't provide for new innovation. Good ol boys mentality.

Great sense of teamwork and professionalism. If you consistently do a good job, it is rewarded. 90% of your team wants you to succeed and is willing to help you.

That 10% is difficult on a shift or any environment. However, most restaurants have a greater ratio of people who do not care or do not try.

It was a hard place to work at times. Requesting time off was always risky. The manager would punish people by making their next month of work reflect the time off that they requested. Let's say you asked for Monday-Friday off one week. Your schedule after that would only have 2 maybe 3 shifts a week for nearly a month. If you put in your two weeks notice, then they would just take you off the premade schedule so you did not have income for two weeks before you start your next position. I was told to my face that I was easily replaceable by my manager. Managers played blatant favoritism. They let someone who was a server and one of their favorites come into the cocktail side to take a major party because that server knew that party was going to tip well (they previously dined with the restaurant). This took tables and tops away from the cocktail server that was assigned to that section.

The people you serve can be very rude, but the worst part is when managers complain about how slow food is going out and then they go sit back in the office watching a movie
