I worked at BlackBerry as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working at BBRY was an incredible learning experience for me. It built the foundation for my career. I'm not much of a person to `hail corporate`, but every time I check BRRY stock prices I always hope it's gotten higher. I feel indebted to this company, and wish it the best success.

    Cons

Honestly kind of pedestrian (boring) to later experiences I had. Isn't the absurd Bay Area internship experience others might be expecting. Intern salary isn't ridiculous like other SV companies. As I like to say when I talk about my resume to recruiters, "not the hottest company". You probably won't get a return offer due to financial issues and growth within the company.

    Advice to Management

Keep on moving. Keep on improving.

    Pros

This company is made up of smart, motivated people that are following a vision to see a once great company through a downturn. BlackBerry is involved in so much beyond mobile hardware and communicating who we are to any organization interested in secure mobility is quite a bit of fun.

    Cons

There is a general public perception that BlackBerry = smartphone = failure. But there is opportunity and fulfillment in overcoming those objections.

    Advice to Management

Continue your investment and goal alignment between sales and marketing
