    Pros

The management at the time had some hiccups, but from from what I hear it's been improved greatly. Friendly staff, lots of opportunities to meet people, good discount.

    Cons

As a bar, the hours are poor. The pay for security was poor compared to other bars in the area, but it did have a potential to increase a small amount.

    Advice to Management

Better employee discounts, post schedules further in advance.

I worked at BlackFinn Saloon part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The managers were awesome and were always big on teamwork & helping each other out. They wanted us to have fun and make money so they did whatever they could to push us to do our best. I felt very encouraged when I was at work & felt like my managers had my back when it came to any major issues.

    Cons

This restaurant group's headquarters is in Charlotte, NC. So, every so often the big-wigs at corporate would come into town & start bossing the local staff around & demanding changes & doing mass-firings. I suppose they did this thinking that they could just wipe the slate clean & get a whole new sure-to-be-perfect-staff & that would change everything. I was hired just after a mass-firing so it was hard at times being one of many new-hires that had little qualified trainers to show us the ropes. This tactic just prolonged a cycle that set many up to fail.
