- "Leadership is disconnected and seems to be even more disconnected than in the prior years." (in 4 reviews)
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Great CEO, very engaged and works at the ground floor when needed
Cons
Health Benefits lacking and are a reason for employee loss
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
had a good experience. Benefits good
Cons
The company is good but it is not close to where I live
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
They do have good benefits.
Cons
I don't even know where to begin. They will chew you up and spit you out. If you're not working overtime off the clock then you're not going to have a job. They consume their employees and the management is absolutely out of touch. The CEO isn't going to acknowledge your existence unless you've done something wrong or it's your first town hall meeting. You're a #, and you're replaceable unless you're willing to work like a dog.

Big enough to Serve, small enough to care: More load on a smaller team

Its always going to be the co-workers and the loyal customers that you bring when Blackhawk decided to acquire your company.
Cons
They dismiss long time associates, and expect the rest of the team to pick up the slack, they stick to their "m-o"

Pros
Decent starting pay. Good opportunity to build skills and beef up your resume for better opportunities elsewhere. Perfect for “Yes”-men/women.
Cons
No work/life balance. They’ll take all you are willing to give and will work you into the ground if you allow it. No loyalty appreciation. You’re just a number and always replaceable. Expectations and privileges were not the same across the board. Your experience is different depending on which branch/department/manager you have or are in good standing with. Apparent cliques and rampant gossip. It felt like the employees that created more problems than solutions, but could talk a big game, were the most valued and retained. The employees that understand the ins and outs were often ignored or brushed off. Departments seemed to spend more time pointing fingers at one another, “passing the buck”, than getting on the same page to fix problems. The “Core Value “ most often practiced: “Do more with less” caused a high stress work environment. The expectation of the amount of work one person could manage felt unrealistic. Do not waste too much time here. Get your experience and move on.

Pros
Steady work, good benefits, weekends off

Favoritism was a major factor.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Solid benefits package with 401k match
Cons
Running too lean and need to get back to servicing customers like they had in the past
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Local branch employees are great
Cons
Sometimes management doesn’t seem to be connected with how things really are and what is actually best for everyone.
