    Pros

Lots of office events and things to get involved with outside of work. Slightly higher wages than competitors. After 5 years of service holidays and pension increase.

    Cons

Quality of management varies massively between teams. Some very good managers but some have got to management positions due to technical expertise rather than any management ability. Pension scheme is very poor for the first 5 years of service, low contributions and no matching at all. Higher wages are offset by comparatively lower benefits than competitors. Overtime is expected/standard in many teams and is unpaid. Very difficult to get promoted.

    Advice to Management

    Review pensions.

    Pros

    Great working environment, structured, organised

    Cons

Need new structure and open culture to trust employees with work capacity

    Advice to Management

Would like management to be open ended and have faith in employees, need a better training structure everything is sandwiched together.

I have been working at BlackRock full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fantastic opportunities for those who are willing to work hard. Decent salary and bonus. Some excellent managers who promote and create opportunities for their employees.

    Cons

Long hours can be possible, but I believe it's on the individual to manage these and ensure they achieve the work-life flexibility they need. Bureaucracy sometimes frustrating.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Pay, that's about it, the whole corporate culture is broken. I've never been in a place with so many people off on work related stress.

    Cons

Long hours, unfeeling staff and superiors. Ridiculous expectations. Understaffed. Inflexible. Geckology writ large. And it's getting worse somehow, American labour laws maybe creeping in. No job security.

    Advice to Management

Try to understand not everyone can do 12 hour days every day and still be productive.
