Pros
Blackhawk gives you opportunities to grow and if you work hard you are going to be definitely acknowledged for it. You will also have opportunity to prove yourself and be awarded for your contributions. There is a lot of work to be done but the teams are united because they want to accomplish big things. It's a great place where to begin and grow and truly prove yourself and what you are worth.
Cons
There is a bit of disconnect between the teams and there is definitely a feeling of more training needed for new employees.
- 3.0Jul 31, 2023Anonymous EmployeeCurrent Employee, more than 1 year
Pros
Blackhawk has some very talented people working for it and the company tries to take care of employees with a lot of extras, such as company-wide days off, unlimited PTO for US employees, and remote work. Managers tend to be good people to work with.
Cons
The company is made up of a series of acquisitions, which means no systems really talk to each other. Most systems at the company use silo-ed data and rely on heavily manual processes. There's no real incentive for product or technology to fix it because they're focused on developing projects to make the next big sale. Often times, what you think is a standard report with good numbers is actually just a manual spreadsheet maintained by a staff level employee and mailed out once a month. Blackhawk wants to be a technology / product company, but it actually operates like a CPG company.
