    Pros

    None, None, None, None, None

    Cons

    - Biased CTO that discriminates against non-Indian subordinates
    - Pathetic executive leadership that has created an unprofitable company with a culture of fear, blame, and distrust.
    - Current president was promoted clearly without the ability to run a company.
    - New company owners looking to dump workers while trying to find a nugget of value still existing.
    - Don't work for this company.

    Advice to Management

Current leadership - deploy your golden parachutes quickly giving your employees a moment of peace before the new owners come in and RIF them.

    Pros

Not many pros with this company.

    Cons

This is a toxic environment. Engineering is fulled with an excessive number of H1B resources. Coordination between teams is terrible. Many people in the technology organization are not trustworthy. Diversity is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Reassess the CTO and his hiring practices.

    Pros

It’s a big corporation? The people are nice and want to do good work. It’s really not all that great place to work.

    Cons

The benefits are horrible. Super expensive, they don’t allow you to use Walgreens Pharmacies and they don’t offer a lot of features. Pay is ridiculous - increases this year are less than last year, but company performance was better. How does that line up?

They’re focused on the acquisition that was announced and really just seem to be looking for a payday for the executives.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at tech companies in the area and find ways to invest in the health, well-being of your employees. Take on more costs and sacrifice a little bit of your $3B networth to make employees feel more connected to the company.

I worked at Blackhawk Network full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Located in East Bay, Central to the tri-valley.
If you need sponsor for your H1B, this is a perfect company for you

    Cons

Low pay and benefits no bonus except $5/500 points when doing an exceptionally job.
Toxic environment, most of the staff ha-ha all the time but they are ready in the mode to stab their coworkers from the back, front, left and right
This company have lost too many talent resources due to the toxic environment. Management know about this issue and most of this happen more and more due to toxic first line manager/director.
There's nothing worse than an overbearing coworker who's incompetent and ill-informed. But often, you'll find that she acts like know-it-alls. I have one in my group who is an obnoxious, all-knowing and constantly fed incorrect information to a manager, unfortunately this manager is not able to recognize this wrong information.
Some resources like this also get all the credit from most of the projects that she screws up, ironically!

    Advice to Management

Time to clean up your incompetence staff, put in a hiring policy to stop friends hire friends and families. This place will become a housewife and H1B Clubs soon. There are very little resources know what need to get the job done, the rest are there constantly walking around with a computer on her hands to seek help and get someone to do work. This is where you should look at your budget when 100K+ job is paid plus 200K+ paid to do the work for others to get paid. This makes you spend at least 200K for this incompetence resource. I hope my ballpark is close

    Pros

Work life balance mixed with the benefits offered via insurance and 401K are what have kept me so dedicated to the company.

    Cons

There are a lot of moving parts, it can be challenging. Getting different answers to issues and not knowing exactly what is the right thing to do is a challenge.

    Advice to Management

The only advice I would offer is to continue to care for the families of your employees as you do today. Also, to keep the benefit package as-is.
