I have been working at Blast Radius full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It all comes down to the people. We get along, we do good work together, and we have fun around the office. The keg and the bar are good for morale, and the social committee does a good job of putting together events. There's music system in the office, which anyone can access and play whatever they want.

    Cons

Communication from upper management SUCKS. It's absolutely awful. There is no 401(k) match in the US. Haven't had a raise in more than 20 months. Growing tired of chasing the career advancement carrot. Most of the office is stuck with third-rate office chairs. Headquarters in Vancouver seems to hog new work, which leaves Seattle with Starbucks and little variety.

    Advice to Management

Fire the CEO. Listen to your people. Try over-delivering for once. Get your heads out of Canada and get 401(k) matching done already.

I have been working at Blast Radius full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Blast has some cool clients.

Blast has also brought in some great creative and strategy talent to most of their offices.

    Cons

    Terrible benefits in the US.

    NO 401K match!!!

NO BONUSES or PAY INCREASES GIVEN (even after promotions were assigned) in the past 10 months, and only promises of "soon" moving forward.

They pay less than other agencies.

in the past 12 months they have lost more clients than they have gained.

There is is little opportunity or emphasis on career advancement.

    Advice to Management

    Retire and move on.

    Cons

No such thing as work life balance

    Pros

A good place to earn money

    Cons

The company treats the employees like cattle - to be slaughtered at will

    Advice to Management

Fire the CEO - he has no idea of how to run an organization

    Pros

Very collaborative environment; smart people; overall very little ego or politics

    Cons

Lack of freedom from Wunderman / holding company; restrictions on hiring and rewarding start employees monetarily. Lack of vision / direction outside of supporting Wunderman in their mission.

    Advice to Management

More communication. More effort put to supporting the BR team than the Wunderman leadership.

I have been working at Blast Radius full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Zero pros that I can think of.

    Cons

Everything you read about this place is 100% correct. The place is run by some of the most unprofessional, shady people from the person who runs the office to the Creative Leadership and even Human Resources. Unethical business practices that clients would shudder at if they really knew what was going on. Zero transparency leads to an agency culture that is paranoid, backstabbing and volatile. 90% of the staff are freelance and they can't keep people because it's a miserable place with managers who are vile individuals.

    Advice to Management

Wunderman leadership needs to drain the swamp of everyone on this "leadership team".

I have been working at Blast Radius full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I wish I could find at least one. This place is a demeaning, life sucking, cult - like hell. I can't think of 1 good thing about this place. The location sucks, the people suck.

    Cons

I have never seen such a big cluster f of employees running around and scrambling based on extremely limited resources. Everyone is stretched extremely thin and still living in the good old days of when we were a real agency. Work- life balance is non existent. Company culture does not exist, and overall there are no perks to working here other than collecting a paycheck.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees more. Understand that your employees are humans and not robots.

    No company perks
    No 401k match
    Poor benefits
    Snarky leadership
    Whispering executives
Lack of culture because no one really cares anymore... A sinking ship
