    Pros

Great flexibility, good team, great work environment

    Cons

Pay is low.. McDonalds employees make more
Have to do double duties, Front Desk and Maintenance

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Blink Fitness part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Management Team that works with you to build clientele and retain them. Coworkers on the whole seem to genuinely care about member base. State of the art equipment that gets fixed quickly if it goes down.

    Cons

Need improvement with the computer program and check ins with clients. Otherwise it's a great place to work as a trainer just starting out or a veteran trainer in the industry for years like myself

I have been working at Blink Fitness part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free membership,
    Great Team,
    Meeting new people,
    Face paced,
Since of ownership when the ACM or CM is off (key holder's only)
    Very flexible schedule

    Cons

Despite the other review's I have had read in my 3 weeks I have yet to experience that. Although in the interview I was told the pay which is 9.00 an hr. I was not expecting to be such hard an dirty work for what to me is little to no pay.

    Advice to Management

Your front desk team members are a very essential part of your success and growth. We stand on the front lines an handel every issue sometimes before the management team can. $9.00 for team members coming in with retail, management or prior experience is absolutely unacceptable which makes sense why the turnover rate is so high.

Seeing how my goal is to be a Club Manager I can see past the hourly salary an look forward to my goal at hand. But, a restructure of the salary for front desk members an the team alone needs to be fixed. An not just at a management level but a non-management level. Remember a productive employee is a profitable employee, and a compensated employee is a HAPPY AN MOTIVATED employee.

    Pros

-1st time sessions are set up for you; no need to always hustle on the floor
    - sessions are pretty inexpensive; can make for an easy sell
    - you get paid 50% of the cost of sessions - more than most gyms

    Cons

    -No set standard for trainers
    -Lacking in continuing education
-Success largely may depend on the blink location

    Advice to Management

More continuing education for trainers. Allow them to take the same training offered at Equinox, the parent company.

    Cons

  11. "Front Desk"

    Star Star Star Star Star
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Its a fun fast paced environment with a chance for promotion. You get a free gym membership and scheduled hours are somewhat flexible.

    Cons

Issues aren't handled or delt with well by management. High turnover rate for employees. Little pay (starting $8.38) with a lot of work. Its clear when there are favorites. Dont apply if you arent prepared to do everything(clean gym, handle phone & in person issues, sell memberships without commission, restock merchandise)

    Advice to Management

Members and memberships are important for a sales based job but if you care about employees as much as you do numbers, the turnover rate wouldnt be so high.
