Certainly one of the best !

    Pros

Incredibly creative environment where you get to work alongside top artists in the industry. Management are very caring as well.

    Cons

There aren't any cons I have experienced in my time there. Other than the cost of living for Irvine being really unforgiving.

Great culture but horrible supervisors and job opportunities

Oct 13, 2012 - Account and Technical Services Tier II in Irvine, CA

    Pros

Blizzard has a really relaxed work environment based around the culture of the games they produce. It's very relaxed and everyone there is proud to be a nerd/geek. They offer great health benefits and bonuses and profit sharing to full time employees

    Cons

The attendance policies in the Customer Service department is based on a point system. Each time you call out it's three points, and it only takes nine points to get a write up, and twelve to be fired. They do not accept doctors notes to excuse absences, and if you are gone for more than three days in a row you have to apply for FMLA to cover the time you missed or else you risk getting written up or fired. There is also a lot of favoritism that goes on.

    Pros

Free Blizzard games and discounted Activision games. If you just graduated HS or a freshman in college perfect place to work.

    Cons

Pays employees below industry standards. Bullied and hostile work environment. Lack of advancement and no transparency. Drug use. Supervisors with no management experience. Unfair wage practices.

    A lot of changes...

May 10, 2020 - Customer Service Representative in Paris

    Pros

    - Good work environment - awesome people - working with geeks for geeks

    Cons

A lot changed during the years and while it became more and more professional it also lost a lot of it's spirit and moved toward a normal customer support job instead of being something special.

A seriously great place to work!

    Pros

I just celebrated my two year anniversary with Blizzard and I can honestly say it has been the quickest, most fun, challenging, and awesome experience. I get to work in a relaxed environment with great people who 'care' and have high goals and expectations. People are here because they want to be here and be part of something big.

    Cons

    Advancement and segmentation of teams.

Solid place to work with its issues

Feb 1, 2023 - Senior 2D Artist in Irvine, CA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Decent benefits, great people who are passionate about what they do. A work environment that is trending better and better as they work to improve. Fun projects. Decent pay. Not the best, but not the worst. A place to dig in and stay if you are able to. Educational opportunities to learn and grow. Blizzard has an energy that makes you want to make cool stuff and it feels like working with friends rather than coworkers. Lots of fun swag like shirts, games, Christmas gifts, etc.

    Cons

Promotions are hard to get. Raises are small but usually happen each year. Review structure is imposed by Activision and is a disgrace. Blizzard can be penny wise and pound foolish and often let talent go rather than keeping them well paid and happy. Talent attrition is likely one of the biggest issues. A mountain of bureaucracy exists making it difficult to change the direction of the ship. That goes from the top to the bottom.

    Pros

So many helpful, passionate, and genuine people all working to deliver the best products and customer experiences. It is truly a joy to work in such a great environment.

    Cons

Not enough time in the day to learn, see, or experience everything that is going on around the Blizzard campus.
