Long hours, low pay, feels like a vast corporate machine
Aug 22, 2022 - Engineer in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
* Many good, smart & hard-working colleagues. * A collaborative environment where everyone is taking pride in their job and ready to help each other.
Cons
* I wish I read other reviews on Glassdoor - really long hours and no respect for your personal life (no compensation for your extra effort either). * It is not clear sometimes how decisions are made. The company is too hierarchical for its size, and you feel like part of a vast corporate machine.

Exposure to large user-base, cut-throat culture
Dec 21, 2021 - Software Engineer in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You can ship products that hundreds of thousands of people will use, fast paced environment - decent tech stack, you will work with some great engineers (although this is not uncommon in London).
Cons
You are walking on a tight rope - if you succeed you will go far, if you fall your colleagues will blame you and you will fail. You will need to work very long hours at times. Expect no free help from SRE or management, you will have to fight for it every time until you have proven yourself. A little under paid, but they will promise you the world in bonuses and stock options.

A stimulating place to work for a little while
Apr 28, 2020 - AssociateRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Regardless of what your title is at blockchain.com, there are moments where you could be working on projects with some of the brightest minds in tech. The company sets ambitious goals and attracts ambitious talent. The projects are thought-provoking and challenging. You have a decent level of autonomy and there's always something to work on.
Cons
Blockchain.com is redefining disorganization. I watched first-hand as hours got longer, teams got smaller, and slowly every perk disappeared. The executives constantly set goals and expectations around competitors that had quadruple the resources and put an outrageous amount of pressure on small teams. Working outside of 9-5 was a given and hardly ever spoken about until it was expected, including weekends. At the end of the day, no amount of free la croix and talk of 'future money' can distract you from the lack of structure and all-around empathy for customers & employees alike.

Long hours, little appreciation, thankless work
Feb 5, 2023 - Senior Android DeveloperRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- good to dive into the world of crypto - great team of talented people - ideas for product can be accepted if reasoned well enough
Cons
- poor organization of work - micromanagement of next most important feature by CEO is intense - talent not allowed to shine - long hours, expected to work a 9-10 hour day - broken promises of remote first always, forcing employees & all new hires to offices - no supervisión if day traders and lending desk meant giant losses in the 2022 crypto downturn - mindless purchase of companies and expansion into LatAm only to shut the whole thing down in a month after Investing
